Shuttleworth Veterinary Group is a well established name in Rawtenstall and the surrounding areas providing a quality and friendly service to you and your pets for over 30 years.
We understand that a pet is an important member of the family. That’s why at Shuttleworth Veterinary Group we aim to keep your pets healthy and happy focusing on preventive healthcare. Our team covers all aspects of preventive care including vaccinations, flea control, worming, dental and dietary care.
Initial vaccinations and boosters are an essential part of recommended healthcare for your pets. Our staff undertake further development training in all aspects of medicine and surgery, ensuring the best possible treatment and care for your pet.
Our modern surgery is fully equipped to deal with a range of surgical and diagnostic procedures including a full operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, endoscopy and in-house sophisticated lab enabling us to diagnose a range of metabolic diseases within the same day or within 15 minutes in an emergency situation.
We are open 8am till 8pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1pm Saturday and 10am till 12 noon on Sundays. This ensures we can offer a wide range of appointments to our clients; we always have team members on the premises when the practice is open in case you need us in an emergency.
Our team is made up of vets, nurses and receptionists that bring a wide range of skills and expertise to the practice.
By being all on one site there is no travelling for different services within our practice. We are able to offer in house laboratory and microscopy, radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and ophthalmology care along with all general surgeries. When needed we have a network of referral hospitals that we can refer your pet to for specialised treatment including CT and MRI scans. We also work closely with visiting specialists that can be arranged to visit your pet at our practice.
Our out of hours service is provided by Armac in Bury, they look after our clients when our surgery is closed at their hospital on the Rock. They can be contacted on 0161 764 4618.
